I've been trying to get them to pull my car off their site for years.

It's on Spohn's site too; they even got it features in a ChevyHardcore article,
http://www.chevyhardcore.com/news/sp...-f-body-action
The funny part is that it got there three years after making that 11.89 pass.
Just happened across it in a google search one day.

Hopefully, I can send Steve an update and a 10.x slip this year.

Yeah, they kind of built up over time LOL
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I'd just fixed the broken
valve springs on the 350 and left the rest alone LOL.

I have enjoyed reading this thread. Keep the work, pictures, and posts coming.

I hope to be able to do similar work on my car soon.

Followed your saga on your local board for years, I think we can see the dim light at the end of that long long dark tunnel.

After messing with the reluctor ring and a spacer I left behind it (FAIL),
I finally for it all back together and fired it up today. It idles a little low, but
it does stay running. I'll play with the throttle stop and bring that up a little
tomorrow. I don't think it's running smooth enough to drive, but it's a start.

I pulled out all unnecessary relays and fuses. That resolved some of my power issues.
I'll have to put the gauge and lights ones back in one by one to see if I can isolate the real issue.
The A/C, ABS and Cruise stuff can stay out since I don't have any of those anymore.

The Performabuilt 4l60e shipped this week, it should be here Tuesday.
I was really hoping to drive my car to my friend's shop so I could use his lift to swap out the 4L60 and weld in my
extra O2 bungs, but I just don't see that happening. I'm not sure I want to run the 4L60 on the dyno to tune though.

I'll try to take a vid tomorrow when it's not raining if I can negotiate some free time from the wife's plans.

Here are three videos of the test I did this morning (sorry about the wind noise, my camera sucks)

Cold idle, just after starting it.

Cold idle from the tailpipe
http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ent=MOV003.mp4

Warm idle from the tailpipe, the smooth idle and rev at the end are me spraying intake cleaner into the TB

Hey James where did you get the coil mounting brackets and how much where they? I have the same 24x setup as you and I've been trying to figure the cleanest way to mount my coils, thanks.

Based on the pics, looks like just the 24x coil brackets. I have them as well and they are nice. They don't list these are separate items on the website but I'm sure you could contact them.

That is correct. They are EFI Connection's Ignition Coil Bracket Assemblies
http://www.eficonnection.com/24x/ima...llyDressed.jpg

You can buy the mounts without coils and wiring harness.
You can email Mike or dig though the site until you find them.
EDIT: Here it is ... I found it in a google search : http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonn...spx?ItemId=808
EFI's site is a little bit of a maze when you're looking for anything but the standard kit.

They're not cheap, but they do look and fit nicely.
The only issue I had is that with Canton VCs, coil #8 ends up smashed against the A/C connections.

I didn't like the idea of mounting my coils on the rail or under the dash, so this was a nice option.
There's a guy on eBay selling a really nice billet kit if you do want to mount them in one of thoee locations though.
I've seen a few threads on this site that show how to make one with $30 in hardware store parts too.
