I got 1200 dollars to spend on my car its stock what should I buy to make it fast

Sell it and buy an LS1. Stock LS1 ~= bolton LT1.

keep saving , you'll never get the money back from modding the lt1.

or buy everything used that you can and don't be in a rush, deals are out there. e.g. you can get a cold air intake used for 80-100, you don't need to buy a new one.

enn too oh, a fuel pump and injectors. might be out of your price range, but ya gotta start somehwhere.

a 200 shot should wake that car up nicely.

Not thread jacking, but where can you get an slp exhaust for a LT1? Everything I have seen is an LS

i'm dumb. i'm was thinking and not typing. i'm guessing the stock injectors won't flow enough fuel to run e85? the car's gonna need a tune anyway, why not put it on e85? should help with detonation.

Sorry had to when I read this. x3
But to OP honestly LS1 would be a much better platform to start. But it's a pin switching cars and all that ****. So I'd say full exhaust, cai, tune. Depends on if you buy used or new..

If it is a auto a good stall and gears with sticky tires will put him ahead of stock ls1 cars.
