power steering pump...rebuild or replace?

So my power steering pump/pulley is making a horrid grinding/popping noise. The pulley has a ton of play in it. The pump doesn't leak or make noise while turning so I guess the pump itself is fine. Is there a bearing on the pulley or the shaft that could possibly be bad?

the pulley's pressed on the shaft of the pump. so if there's a lot of play, probably the bearings for the shaft or something. ^ x2 on replacing

Replace the whole thing, I replaced mine with another GM pump, not a parts store.

Ya your gonna want to replace that soon unless you want power steering fluid all over your engine bay! but anyway replace it with a genuine GM one not a shitty AutoZOne one cause most of theirs are rebuilt anyway. I have one that I got from AutoZone but its not installed yet so Im actually hoping it works. lol
