OMG OMG A GIRLLL!!!!!
but seriously welcome to the forum and good luck with your LT1! It's nice to see girls who want to learn this stuff and show the guys up. Just listen to what these guys are saying and you'll understand it eventually. I've learned a lot of stuff on this forum and a lot of things would not have been done to my car if it weren't for these guys.

fyi theres all different octanes........some fuel is cheaper than others.......lower octane 100 is around that range...........because of the hi cylinder pressures my car has with a compression ratio above 14:1 i need at least 113 octane to keep it from detonating and running corrrectly.......the 114 i use is $14 here in rhode island....

The "OMG FEMALE" things is quite funny lol
Girl at my local parts store has 3 Trans AM's and everytime I go in there she LOVES to talk and talk and talk and talk about them!!
I'm young as well but came from a background of drag racing so hanging around my dad has helped quite a bit even though we get into the disputes a lot about "Old School vs New School" things but with your boyfriend being involved just watch and learn basically I could really never read something then get the hang of it I have to do hands on things to learn it. Doing my first motor install too and like everyone says its just nuts and bolts. (Bought another LT1 to steal parts off of and as a "Puzzle Box" I suppose lol)
read the threads on here and it can help a lot too!
And welcome!!
