I'm a mechanical engineer, there are no facts saying it actually has any positive or negative effect on heat transfer into or out of an engine, but it is a theory that if there is any effect, which is what I was saying to gregrob that it doesn't make any difference, IF you went by that theory, black on the outside and white on the inside would work best. I brought up this topic to my internal combustion engines professor when I was in school, dr. Nigel Clark, and he talked about the reasons people had for painting the interior and exterior certain colors, but said like you said Ramair, that there are no facts supporting any colors having any effects. But if you were going to go by those theories, wether for superstitious purposes or for your own thoughts, white inside and black outside would be your choice.

got the cam in with fresh cam bearings lastnight, gonna to check ptv clearance tonight. Then hopefully the next thing you see out of me is a start up video.
more pics coming tonight, im starting to get excited. The weather has been so awesome here in Kansas city the last week. Its supposed to stay that way for a few more weeks...im crossing my fingers it does
