Weird oil leak??

Weird oil leak??

looked under the car today and seen signs of an oil leak pull the thing on the ramps and trace it back to my cap it almost looks like there is oil coming out of the cap there is also oil on the flange of the header so this points to maybe a valve cover gasket??? but doesn't explain why it looks like its coming out of the cap

Filled it with 5.1 quart which i know is to much oil for it could that be the issue????

First bug since its been back together

Could be valve cover gasket. That's easy to identify.

What is 5.1 quart? And why would you overfill it?

The GTX said 5.1 quarts and figured thats what it took but found out it took only the 4.5

What oil filter are you using, the OE "short" one, the "old school" medium lenght one, or the killer "HD truck" filter? That will affect how much oil you put in the engine....

FWIW, I've always used the "old school" filter. It holds a full quart of oil.
