Not looking good for me. I just got the car dyno tuned today and there are some issues that need addressed before I start making 1/4mile runs. I pretty much exhausted all my funds right now so it won't get fixed in time for the shootout. It's safe to drive easy so I might still bring it. Either way, I will be there with the TA or not.

Update I pulled of the tube, installed a NA tune and it ran great, Then I started studying my turbo tune, thrashing to get ready for the shoot out, I noticed my fueling was way off. I forget I am running 95lb'rs so I started pulling out some fuel down low, it started running better at least I saw it trying to get some boost, Got late so I quit, thanks to quik95 & tim99, I believe with some more tuning it will be ok. so far I am still scheduled for the Dyno tomorrow (Friday) we will see tonite when I get home and fiddle with the tune a little more, Thanks for all of the advice guys..

Did some more testing last night on a new set of tires, 60 foot is down to 1.61 and I haven't started messing with the shocks yet. Miss is barely noticeable after new lifters and the fix for what it's doing now should be here tomorrow, gettin excited now!

Drivng 2 cars vs watching or racing with some of the best lt1 guys in the world is what most of us think about all year. Im huge into vetted and if Scott himself called me and asked if I wanted to text the zr1 and zl1 on the same day as the shoot out I would say sorry another time. That's just me. What are the cars by the way?

Right now I am so exhausted from my dad being in the hospital, working 12 hr a day at work and trying to get my car done. I don't even feel like going to the dyno or if I can actually drive that far. Plus I tried to rent a car trailer from U-haul and when you plug in your stats, car type, motor ect, it says I cant even tow a motorcycle so they wont rent me one.

It does go a little easier in person. I had the same thing happen in 2009, but since a 4cyl is an option in an 85 Camaro that is what he put in to make it work. Just tell them is doesn't have an engine and that is why you need the trailer.

my stress level is through the roof right now with this vfn hood. i was going to do dzus but feckkkk that install is way to stressful just going to do 4 hood pins and be done with it. just started a new career in sales and getting everything ready is stressing me to the max but i'll be there. hopefully with something that can qualify #1 in street stock

Our current plan is to assemble the motor the Monday before the race!
All you guys that are thinking about dropping out should think again. The Shootout is more than just a race. I have one of the worlds craziest schedules, but I wouldn't miss it for anything. This is one case where the LTX beats the LSX hands down.
