Default Re pinning harness for 24x

Is there anywhere or anyone that can and will re-pin my harness for my 24x conversion? I thought about spending the coin on the new harness but i don't see the wallet letting me spend $850 on a harness. I'm sure there harness is REALLY nice but it's to nice for the wallet to allow right now. I would try to re-pin my own harness but i'm absolutely hate wiring.

After repinning mine, it's not that bad and you don't have to be an electrical guru. You need to move wires from A to B and add in some new connectors. If you don't care about cleaning up your harness, you can do the repin in the car. is your car a 96+ it will be even easier.

I know it's 850 for the harness from EFI, and it's alot of money, but the whole wiring harness, connectors is all new and custom to your specific application. In fact, better than oem quality, imo. And I'm talking about plug and play! Every connectors are labeled for easy install and piece of mind. It's worth the money for me.

look at my thread that I did on the repin, it really is straightforward, it will take you 8 hours if you work slow and maybe a few more being extra careful. I'd never repinned one before either, but I kept notes, clearly labeled everything and it worked out ok.

Since your car is a 95, you need the 96+ cover (24x kit includes the crank sensor) so you have three new wires there and you have new wires for the coils (but if you buy the kit from eficonnection for the DIY harness, you will get everything you need. I'd give mike a call on Monday and he can talk you through what is in the kit.

The reason you won't find someone repinning is that it is different year to year and takes time. Plus you don't know if the harness is good or not when you start to begin with. It's risk for the person doing it moreso than the buyer.

The harness is $850, but really $750 if you figure that you would be buying the DIY kit anyway from eficonnection.

I ended up with a 96 harness going into 94 car and had to move a few wires around, again, not hard, just time consuming. I say I have about 12 hours in my harness total, but I took it all apart to take out the stuff I didn't need (egr, etc...)

If you decided to do it yourself just make sure you have the diagrams for your year car, 95, and a newer ls1 diagram. This will aid you in moving the correct wires over and knowing what is what. I prefer the Mitchell diagrams as the wires are color-coded. It makes it easier. If you need a copy let me know.

It's not that hard to re-pin..just add the newer PCM Connectors, all the Coil Wiring, and the Cam & Crank Sensors. Everything else is there.

In all reality you can adapt the whole LS1 F-body Harness to the LT1..it's not that hard.

I keep trying to find this out too. I got a 94 and I'm having my trans converted to the 97 style so it will be compatible. Now will the connectors on the trans still be the same or will I just have to get a whole new harness? The car is a4 fwiw

All the 4L60E Connectors are the same..what speed sensor do you have..large or small?

If you got a 1996-1997 Trans it would work for that newer style.

Ok guys finally getting started here in the next week or two. I decided to do it myself but i have a question. What do you have to do to the c100/c105 and c210/c220/c230 connectors. And can i get by with just using these http://www.eficonnection.com/coilper...s_LS1_Blue.jpg

Or will i need something else?

c210/220/230 bring your gauge info and power to the pcm as well as the obd2 connector.

c100,c105, bring power to your injectors/ignition.

you should only have to do something to 100/105. As you eliminate stuff from your 95 harness, that will open up a few pink (12 volt switched power on the c100/105 connector) you want to use one of those for your pink 12 volt supply for your coils.

I sat down and looked at it and got confused right off the bat. I dont guess i understand. The c100/105 connectors are just throwing me a curve ball.

forget them for now. Just do your repin and take out the stuff you don't need. once you have it clean, you'll see what's available. Just remember, c100/105 are bringing power from the fusebox. you'll be able to decide later which one's you want to use.
