We've both had a lot going on over the past year or so. Her 97 is back to being a bolt on car and is getting painted back to the stock color, Sebring Silver. She'll probably drive it for a while, then sell it for an 01-02 WS6, or maybe a cts-v or g8. We've been seperated for a little while now, but I still end up with my hands on that damn car all the time! Lol.

I'm pretty much planning to pick up where I left off on hers with my 95. Little by little it'll get there. Look for a build thread soon!

I'm sure it could go faster with a 103.6 trap speed on a prepped track, Motortrend usually got decent times when testing: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...d_slpfirehawk/
That's about the quickest I've seen in magazines too. But keep in mind that they do not powershift and aren't always on a great surface while testing. There's a couple that have run better times that posted in this thread (myself included) .

I went 13.7 dead stock, in my 97 6-speed. My very first time I ran it went 13.9. Ive never seen a faster stock lt1, I always figured my car was some kind of freak!

I ran a 13.50@103.9 on a 2.0 back in Oct 96. It was the only time I had it at the track bone stock. Put 4.10 gears, K&N, 160 t-stat, and HPP+ for the speedo, went 13.18@104.9 on a 1.89.

The fastest bone stock LT1 I ever heard of was a 93 Pace Car that went 13.4 back in 94. Nobody on the F-Body mailing lists went quicker than that car. Nor was any magazine car ever that quick.

My SS went 13.6 @ 102 at HRP. Nothing had been done to it yet.

I can't remember which car magazine, but one of them had the '96 LT1 SS doing 13.4ish @ 104 or 106. Something tells me their correction factor was grossly off.

I believe the thunder chicken when it was bone stock ( gmhightechperformance old project car 93 formula ) went mid to low 13's. Im thinking 13.3-13.4's?

Never ran mine bone stock, but with just a CAI and muffler it went 13.56 at 104 on a 2.11 short time in good air. Seems about par for the course in this thread.

I do remember Car and Driver reporting 13.6 at 106 for a 1996 LT1 SS (still have the issue boxed up somewhere). My LT1 and nearly all others I've seen needed, minimum, headers and full exhaust to get into the 106-107mph range, which makes me think C/D might have gotten a factory 'ringer' for that road test. It would have been interesting to pop the valve covers off that one to see if they were maybe hiding some 1.6RRs or to check out the exhaust manifolds and see if they were LT4 pieces, and to check the tuning file in the pcm to see if it's a stock file, among other things.

The general consensus seems to be mid-to-upper 13s at 102 is about right for a stock LT1 f-body with a driver that knows what they're doing.
