security problem?

Default security problem?

Well i'm getting my car painted. Last Friday they moved it outside and let it run while he clean the shop (ran just fine no problem). Parked it back inside and left. Monday night they went to drive it into the booth to lay some epoxy on it. They said they had a hell of a time to get it started, and when it did the gauge cluster was all out of wack. Went there today checked it out. When the key is turn "ON" just the security lights up nothing else. I cranked and it started up and then immediately shut off. So what do i do now?

Check fuses?

It doesn't sound like the typical VATS problem (wire going to the ignition cylinder breaks). I'd bet they are leaving a detail or two out. Something like "We left the door half latched when we parked it back inside and the dome light killed the battery. Then we accidentally tried to jump it with the terminals reversed. Then it had a hell of a time starting."

i had the security light come on but not start my car. i had to actually spit on the key and it worked fine

fuses are good. the only thing they did after they parked it was take the wiper arms and cowl off. I don't see how that would have any effect on it.

Sounds like u are going to be doing a vats bypass in your future.

but if you have VATS don't you have to have the red light on the dash?
