Sensor is near the filler neck on the radiator. Common high fail item. From what I gather most do what I did and just unplug the darn thing.

Unplug and check your coolant level every once in a while...

With the issues of possibly over heating the engine I would replace the sensor rather than unplugging it. Jmo

My stock GM one lasted quite awhile, ones from the part stores didn't work right out of the box. Picked up a radiator out of a junkyard that still had a GM sensor on it and haven't had a problem since.

There are a million other cars on the road that don't have low coolant lights/sensors. A periodic check of the overflow container once or twice a month won't kill you if you don't want to spend the $$$ to replace it.

Mine has been uplugged for almost 5 years now with no issues. You should be checking your oil and coolant on a regular basis anyway that the sensor isn't needed IMO.

If you do decide to replace it, go with a GM part. I've never had luck with any vehicle when it comes to using aftermarket coolant related sensors.
