litterly bustin your nuts, LOL!!! sorry I had to say it. I would get them off of there and contact Comp ASAP!! see if they have had other failures.

Poly locks? How are you tightening them? If you are setting the lock screw and then tightening the large nut some more...don't.

back when i was a complete moron, i put a 503 cam in with stock springs. Coil bind was breaking my nuts. Could that be the problem?

rocker studs too short, pushrods too long?

I had the same problem my engine builder called me after he was finishing up the build and he wasnt even putting much force to set the preload and they snapped. This was on a used set of pro mag style poly locks. Bought a new set and never looked back. I have the rest if you need two just pay for the shipping.

The first one I broke was on used rockers now this time on new rockers. Set the up by adjusting the nut then the set screw. Looking at getting some longer arp rocker studs and poly locks. Hopping this fixes it for good.

I have broken at least three CC poly locks in the last year. The set screws were torqued to 25# IIRC and it appears they would just fail under normal driving. I got rid of them and went ARP perma-locks and have had no further issues but I did have to machine the tops of the perma-locks down to clear the composite valve covers.

Double check all your geometry. It doesnt take much coil bind to snap those things.

thanks for the advise i will make sure to double and tripple check everything once i get the new stuff in.
