Recommendations for cc503 Thinking about doing a cam swap in one of my lt1s while building my wild motor. looking into the cc503, will be infront of a t56 with supporting bolt ons. Just wondering if anyone has any input as to if the springs and rocker arms I have will support the cam, I have comp beehive springs and gm 1.6 roller rockers. If anyone seems to think that they will not be adequate I would appreciate it if you could let me know. I do not really want to spend another 500$ on valvetrain if I can get away SAFELY with the hardware I have. Thanks.

Sorry pat i disagree. I would go with a set of Patriot gold springs good to a .650 lift. I ran the 918 beehives on my LE2 heads and a 503 and got valve float about 6200 rpms. I changed to the patriot's and it went away. Even though I have Big block beehives on the AI heads they are much stronger than the 918's.

I'd bet those 918's weren't set up properly if the 503 cam floated them. Shim them to within .050" of coil bind at max lift and they should work with that cam. As I recall, those heads/setup were questionable; you might have had varying installed heights from one valve to another.
915's I could understand floating at 6200 with the 503, even if shimmed properly.

Any recommendations on pushrods? particularly what length or should I get one of those $30 adjustable ones and measure myself? Or just keep the stock length and just get hardened ones from comp or trickflow?
