Heads Looking to take my build to the next level what are some good heads for the money and how much difference are we talking hp wise compared to my stock sets |
Just so you know you're going to get flamed for not uing the search button. The two most common heads AI and Lloyd Elliot. With a fairly modest cam and those heads from what I've gathered most make anywhere from 365-410whp. Of course there are always variables with peoples setups. There's some that go pretty radical and make a lot more power than I'm going to with my LE2s. With my setup I'm hoping for somewhere around 390-400. |
need more ifo, just doing a cam swap? stroker? what about FI? goals? |
Yes cam swap, bigger injectors, re- built 355 long tube headers I'm wanting Around or a little more than 400 rwhp |
Edelbrock. :jest: All joking aside, what do you have now? Stock? And how many miles? |
auto or M6? |
It's a m6 with 411 gears |
Anyone else |
ported tfs 195's |
You will not be disappointed in Advanced induction or LE. I went AI and could not be happier...I think both are good companies. If you are on a budget go with Lloyd because they are a little cheaper. I think AI would produce a little more power from most results I've seen. For the price LEs are worth it over almost any other hand ported head I've seen. If you want the most power I would say Ai. You will be pushing it to get 400+ with les although I have seen it done. I've seen tons of AI stock bottom end well over 400 on here. |

AI 200cc GM CNC'd .........done end of story..... With a 350/355 motor and the stock PCM rev limit, you'll likely never need any more head than that. In fact, they're turning out over 500 rwhp through an A4 on a SR stroker with factory PCM. Those heads with their matching cam picked me up 120 rwhp, over what was already a well tuned bolt-on setup. |
