lifter tick no oil
 

Backstory. Last year both of my heads developed a crack and needed to be replaced. Was thought to be a bad casting.

I replaced the heads, reassembled everything and had two lifters (ls7r) that would NOT pump any oil. I tried everything to get them to pump up and nothing seemed to work.

I ended up replacing them with brand new OEM LS7 lifters, and now my #2 lifter wont pump any oil same situation as the LS7r lifter. Again tried multiple things, left it unloaded for 2 months re installed the pushrod and rocker set lash and again no oil. I let the car come completely up to temp and hoping it would help and nothing. All the other lifters on that side of the motor have great oil.

I'm not sure if I should put some miles on it in hopes it would start to pump oil or if this means I gotta pull the intake again!

Should mention the car runs great. I went for a spirited drive, came home pulled the valve cover no change?

Minor miracle or just good luck I dk. I went and readjust the problem lifter and the lifter next to it (was just a hair looser than I liked) and boom #2 is pumping oil now!

Thats strange.
