I'm back!

I got another fbody after a year or so of driving only a blazer. I got a 1995 z28 with a golen 383. they claim it makes 500hp and it feels strong but i have 3.23's, no tune, stock catback, and stock intake manifold. It does have a holley 58mm tb, ceramic pacesetters, and zo6 knockoffs with 275's. I got the car with 104k and 3800 on the new motor from a guy in the military who needs the money for a divorce lol. I was just wondering about the ecm, i think iv heard you can simply swap for a obd2 ecm on the 1995 cars. Is this true? i really need a tune and gears so thats where im starting. also i have the zo6 wheels with brand new continentals and a gm ram air box i would like to trade for a set of zr1's and a fipk or moroso intake if anyone is interested.

Why would you swap to an OBD II PCM? Makes zero sense.

You can tune the OBD I for free.. with free software.

Most OBD II people swap to OBD I.

Aren't you in C springs? If you could meet me somewhere further north I can help you with the tuning very reasonably.

yeah i have never done it, i was gunna swap to obd2 and have it tuned at rmcr. If i can do it myself i guess i will. Where do i get software? If you could help that would be cool. I actualy work at geddes machine and build race motors all day, but have never gotten into tuning lol. Please forgive my ignorance, i dont know it all.

The shops that tune LT1 OBDII PCM's are getting extremely scarce and those who tune OBDI's are basically non-existent.

500hp to the motor or wheels? Anyway with no tune and stock catback i doubt it

man theirs people in colorado springs here, wish i knew but rmcr still does tuning for the obdII i called them about a week or two ago, bu at the same time it might just be easier to find someone to tune the obd 1 computer

whats the point of your post pillarpod? I said they claim 500hp, of course its crank, and of course its not close to that with no tune, stock catback, stock intake manifold, stock fuel pump, etc. i just got the car a day ago and it was owned by someone who had no idea who to do with it. Other than tuning, ill get it where it needs to be. Who knows, it could be theyr 400hp build, all i know is it has some middle of the road forged internals, and alot of potential. Plus i have a spare lt1 with the ideal head castings at the shop, and a brand new rottler f68, and a serdi 3.0 large, at my disposal.

Iv been in contact with mike at rmcr many times, they tune both obd1 and obd2. they definately make theyr money on it though.
