Default 1LE A/C Delete pulley

Do you have to buy your own hardware for the Dorman AC delete pulley. I just installed it and the factory bolts are way to long and the dorman is threaded which seems stupid to me.

should I get shorter bolts or washer the **** out of that thing.

I am going to install my Dorman one tomorrow. On Dormans own site they say you can use your factory hardware. If they are to long just get shorter ones. As for the bracket being threaded, I wondered the same thing. I will probably just open the holes up on it a bit to get rid of the threads. It also states on their site that if the pulley doesnt line up to remove the pulley and install a washer behind it to shim it out. I guess i will find this all out tomorrow.

yah man, I dident read their site lol but that makes sense. ill tell you i just started the car and drove around the block and it sounds fine and looks fine, but the factory bolts stick out about an inch but they thread into the accesory bracket about half an inch so theres lots holding it in. just looks bad, I am thinking I am going to drill out the thread and shim it out it will look better

sorry they stick out about half an inch not a inch, but theres atleast 7/16" into the bracket so its held on tight you just bottom out the bolts because the thread only runs about half the length of the bolt.

I ended up drilling the threads out of the delete pulley bracket so the factory bolts would slide through them and added a washer to the back side of the delete bracket to shim it out a hair. Worked perfect. Alignment is good and bolted up fine with the factory hardware.
