Can you mix plugs of the same brand? So I had 7 ngk v power plugs and one other brand that had a cracked insulator..idk who did it..just bought the car. Would it be fine if I just swapped out that cracked one for a ngk g power platinum? Or should I replace all of them with ngk platinums. The v powers all look fairly new. |
Just put another V power in it. |
You can put in what ever you want..... that being said, if you put a platinum plug in your car, you should do a search on spark plugs, |
Standard Copper plugs for the win. |
Nobody has answered my question.....I don't see why its so hard |
Lets look at this here. A V Power cost under 3 dollars a plug. So 3 x 8 = 24. So behind all logic, swap all the plugs at once. Platinum and Copper have different properties. Platinum plugs retain heat burning themselves clean, thus giving a greater chance for detonation as they are hot longer. Copper dissipates heat quicker. They don't last as long due to this feature. Do a simple search on copper vs platinum and you will find a lot of information on this subject. |
