96 Camaro won't start

I have a 96 Camaro z28. It was runnin fine then the rearend went out so I jacked up the back end and put another rearend in it and now it won't start. The fuel pump doesn't come on and if u prime it it still won't run does anyone know what could b the problem?

is it out of gas? When you prime it.. does the pump kick on?

If you do not hear the fuel pump turn on when you put the key in the on position then your fuel pump is bad.

Check your fuel pump wiring connector on the driver side of the body near the fuel tank. It is above the left axle tube and make sure you didn't break/ unplug anything.

Also check for power here:

It's not the fuel pump. Theres a black box under the dash on the passenger side that keeps clicking I think it the security system that won't let it run

That would be the bcm (body control module) it houses the vats. Search security or bcm to find possible issues. Fwiw the bcm has nothing to do with the rear end. Either this is a conicidence they went out together or we dont have the whole story. Your first post says the fuel pump doesnt come on now you say its not the pump but a clicking bcm??

Is the security light on?

ashtonstull Jul 11, 2012 01:06 PM

No the security light isn't on

Then it's not your vats. As said above, check the connector behind the drivers rear seat under the car. Maybe you knocked it loose or something when you pulled the rear axle. It powers the fuel pump.

The engine wasn't gettin any fire neither when it was doin this I primed fuel to it and it wouldn't hit or anything

It's probably something you did (or didn't do) while working on it; been there before lol...I would re-check every single part you came in contact with, and the fuses too.

Explain what your doing here:huh::
-"primed fuel to it"?
-How are you checking for spark?
-What's the fuel pressure?
-Does the coil + have power?

If the fuel pump does not come on, it will not prime...

I had a squirt bottle and I shot Gad straight threw the throttle body. Pulled plug wire off and put a plug in it and laid it on the exhaust manifold and it didn't spark. Didn't have any fuel pressure cuz the pump didn't come on. I didn't check the coil
