Default 10.56 @ 126 - a new personal best!

Mike Harris and I went to race at Muncie yesterday.
I wanted to take advantage of the weather and starting line to see what the little stock bottom could do on the 100 shot, so I "wasted" my two timed runs to play

See attached slip. I'm in the left lane, Mike in the right on motor.
Mke brought out the old 9 x 30 "Stocker" radials and they were working great for him!

After that pass, it looked like we were BOTH going to run new bests. Mike made a couple of tweaks based on the first pass that were guaranteed to help. But... despite a better start on the 2nd pass, he broke another ring&pinion and had to pack it up
I spun more on the 2nd pass and went 10.58 @ 126.

I made it through two easy rounds in brackets on motor, but my sh!tty reaction time got me on the 3rd round. But, I'll call it a good day anyway

Thanks for the kudo's, guys

Bummer, Mike But......you'll be WAAAYYYY under that 10.0 threshold again on the 17th See you there.....IN THE AIR!!!!!

Speedtigger, how much are you spraying that Skylark? - that's a big gain for already good NA mph and ET! I used to see about that difference with 150 shot on the stock motor, but it takes a lot more when you're already deep 11's.

I am using a single 55n jet (NOS says 125 hp). I hope to work up to a 63n (150 hp) jet tune after I gets some good axles.

That's great! Your setup is obviously more nitrous friendly than mine

You are faster on the motor. How much do those monsters weigh?

Most of them are heavier than mine, or at least they report them to be.
I was at 3840 for that run. About as low as I can get it and still not sacrifice any of the creature comforts it came with

You are nearly 100 pounds heavier and making about 60 to 70 more HP. Than i am on the motor. That might be why you don't pick up as much.

What is your A/F ration on the spray?

I was even a bit richer at 11.6 to 11.8:1. I am going to lean the jet spread by 2 and see what that nets.

How is this possible?

Maybe I haven't spent enough time here, but I'm under the impression that a H/C fbody would be an 11 sec car. How are you getting your Impala into the 10s?

Solid roller? 8,000 rpm? How much does your car weigh? Jet fuel?
