Poor MPG's? Im getting pretty bad gas mileage in my '95 formula.. I'm spending almost $20 on gas everynight at work (delivery driver). In my 99 silverado $10-$15 was average.. Tomorrow i'm going to replace the fuel filter, clean the MAF, check for fuel leaks, and try my best to fix a pretty bad exhaust leak i have. Anything else i should that that would cause bad mpg's? |
A bad coolant temp sensor or intake air temp sensor can cause a rich condition and poor gas mileage. Both sensors are fairly cheap and easy to replace, but if you have some way of checking their performance that's always better than blindly replacing parts. |
get that exhaust leak fixed its killing your gas mileage. a mail order tune usually nets 1 or 2 mpg. |
thanks for all the input,
