I recently purchased a 1994 Camaro 6 banger 5 spd to turn into a monster. I found this in it. If anyone knows how to find the owner of "Car no 1208" please let me know.

I don't think that's real..

Even if it is real, it came out of the car for a reason so i'm guessing the car in a scrap heep somewhere...

It goes on the ashtray lid. 96 SS Camaros got it.

I just saw one on Ebay sell for $75. It was the whole upper console that the seller was getting rid of. He didn't have a 4th gen.....he had gotten the console part with a t56 conversion and didn't need it for his swap. My 97 SS has a "Camaro SS" badge on the dash, but it isn't numbered. I had to call SLP to get that. Try the SLP registry and see if it's listed on there maybe?

The Z28 SS part is throwing me off..

Yep, 96 & 97 Super Sports are both Z28 and SS's. Not sure if the 98+ have both RPO's like that or not, but I know that you couldn't have both options on any 67-95 models. If you look at a 96 SS air box it also says Z28 SS if I remember correctly. My 97 just says Camaro SS on the lid.

I've got one of those 96 SS plates sitting in my garage. I bought the whole upper console part off ebay years ago. The background on the one I have is black though. And it does say Z28 SS.

They all came with a black plastic layer that peels off eventually if exposed to enough hot summer days. The air box also says Z28 SS (not seen in this pic).

funny that article says the camaro SS was .1 second quicker from 0-30 and .2 seconds quicker 0-60 than the Formula WS6. i would have thought a formula WS6 would be faster than a camaro SS

I think it was heavier than the SS IIRC.

I've been debating what to do with it since I no longer have a Camaro. :jest:
