Default Exhaust leak or valve train noise.

1st start up after my LE2 install, so far everything is going great.

I'm pretty sure this is an exhaust leak and to valve train noise. It is driver side and not that rhythmic. I have jet hot 1 3/4 lts with the slip fit, and I think I need to put a band clamp on the slip.

I shut it down after 10 minutes.

Sounds like a leak to me and I doubt its around that slip fit pipe. Most likely a header flange to gasket leak.

Sweeeeet. I just rtv'd the slip fit. I will check it after I let it sit for a couple days. I never had issues with the flanges leaking before, but I decided to use copper flange gaskets this go around.

Are you thinking at the collector or at the block? I used an Allen wrench with stage 8 locking bolts to tighten them down, maybe a little tighter?

If it is an exhaust leak that is most likely the reason. Using soft metal gaskets you want to ensure the surfaces are flat. If there are any imperfections they will not seal well and will either leak or blow out soon after. Your best bet if using headers is a Fel-Pro 1406 header gasket.

I'm sorry, I didn't specify. I used copper collector gaskets, and felpro 1406's for header gasket.

Fixed the exhaust leak, tb still sticking.

I can almost hear a slight knock in this video, but I cannot hear it in person. Opinions on the knock?

This video shows the tb sticking.
