Default lt1 camaro runs alittle hot

okay heres all the specs 95 camaro z28 lt1... 383 stroker vortech 10psi -- fmic... electric water pump..fan switch running at all times, 160 thermo stat... my car seems to always run around 195- then keeps climbing and climbing slowly when I drive gets up to like 206-207 all the time sometimes more... this is on a cool day.. not a hot summer day so it gets hotter. when Im at idle it cools back down... the previous owner mounted the intercooler just about the lower air dam so its kinda in front of the radiator like its hidden... i noticed that piece that usaully goes in front of the condensor I guess its called a air tunnel deflector is missing... prolly cause the intercooler is in the way... do u think thats why the car runs alittle hotter.. I would like to see 180-190 temps...

Yea you need that air dam. Got any more specs on the "built stroker"?

No specs on the motor... I just dont know if I can get a stock air dam in there cause the intercooler is right in the way... its not the black air dam below the car --- its the flat plastic panel pieces that deflects there air of the black air dam into the radiator... do u think I should maybee make a custom one iF i cant get a stock one in place do u think that would help out at all... cause the intercooler blocks the whole openeing underneath on where I need to put it. i will get some pics this weekend... its hard to explain it without looking at it

So you bought a car with no specs or history? How do you know it has 600rwhp@10psi? At idle an EWP flows the same as at speed, maybe go back to a mechanical pump?

You need all the deflectors to funnel the air into the radiator, but you aren't really running "hot"', anyway. You're still 20° below stock fan ON temps.
