putting the motor back in and cannot figure out for the life of me where these brackets go and what their purpose is. Anyone know?

2 of them are the heat shield/wire looms for the spark plug wires, 1 on the left side (the long one) and 1 on the right side. The one with the tab on it, IIRC, goes on the LH side of the engine , at the front, and the plug wire separator hooks on to it.

The bottom one goes on the back of the driver' side head (seen in this pic). The engine harness has tabs that plug into the holes.
