Can you visually distinguish a high flow cat and/or catback exhaust?
When I bought my Firebird Formula, I was told it has a Flowmaster 40 series. I looked under it and noticed it does have Flowmasters, but is it a catback? Also, How can you tell if your cat is a high flow cat or not? I showed a few friends mine and they all said it's some sort of aftermarket cat.

Take a caliper and measure the diameter of your pipes. I think stock was 2.5" to the muffler and 2.25" tailpipes. I think Flowmaster made a catback that had stock sized pipes, you would be able to tell if there are slip fit joints and clamps. I would rip it out in favor of a real 3" system.
The stock cats don't have thin heat shields like that, they're pretty plain. I think I mine had the letters "AG" on the case.
