Exclamation Single Plane Manifold conversion help!!!!!

I know of a user on by the name of "T/ALT1" and saw his thread on here where he welded his own intake elbow to the 4150 flange and welded a lt1 throttle body mounting plate to make his own elbow...

So my question is, is where do you just buy the flanges and if this member is still active and if anyone would build me one or where can i get the flanges?

this is the link to T/ALT1 who is member on ls1tech here.

gas pedal yes. cruise im not 100% sure on. the tb side looks the same. and worst case you could relocate the cruse control module.

yeah I know about the bolt pattern needs to be changed, and thanks is there going to be any noticable power gains going from the stock manifold to this single plain ?

this is my exact combo with everything done:

1994 lt1 with sequential fuel injection (unlike the 1993 batch firing injection)
36lb GM injectors
11.2: 1 compression ration
stock heads but they have been ported and flowed and tested at 260 cfms @ .550 lift and dont fall off, 170 cfms @ .500 lift and start falling off at .550
twin 58 mm TB
pacesetter longtube headers, no cats, borla mouth exhaust
comp cams 280xfi cam (230/236 dur@ .50 575/570 lift cam 113 LSA with 1.6 rr and I am using 1.6 roller rockers)
355 cubic inch (.030 over)
Custom tune done by myself (for simple terms I have it tune for 13.0 : 1 AFR @ WOT with a total 35 degrees of timing from 3000 rpm to 6500 rpms)

and even if I dont gain much power from the single plain conversion, at least it should raise where my motor make peak hp, correct ?

If you feel like that cam is peaking too low then the heads are likely choking it or the springs letting the valves float. That cam with decent heads and valvesprings will make power beyond 6500rpm, likely peak by then but should keep making power. I might look at dialing back that timing a little and see if it helps.

The MAF readings go wonky at high rpm?

no i have not had any problems with the cam or springs I just havent felt like spinning it past that but my main question is, is a single plain intake manifold conversion gonna be worth while or help power wise at all for the combo I have?

not if you are failing to realize it is floating the valves. Even after that few very high effort larger motors actually show gains and you have a modest effort near stock displacement setup.

You are blindly jumping on this bandwagon MUCH too early in the car build process.

There's a thread somewhere that shows the only spot you'll start seeing gains is over like 6800 or something, with less everywhere else. If you were going to 8000, then yea, do it. But if your on the stock PCM I'm pretty sure it's been agreed its not worth it.

Don't forget you will need new fuel lines, new fuel rails, and a new regulator.

Unless you are cranking that motor way high (doubtful on stock heads and PCM) you should save your pennies.
