Default genuine ss? 1996 camaro ss

Couple months ago i bought my first camaro ( been wanting one since forever) found it cheap for $2500 1996 camaro ss blk on blk. Now im wondering how i can find the build # for this car. I don't have the original keys and it doesn't say what number it is anywhere on the car. Any help would be appreciated. Pics of my car parked, spun a bearing after a month of driving it

Looks like it to me, spoiler is correct I believe the LS SS spoiler is higher than the LT SS spoiler, at first I thought it was the lower z28 spoiler at a quick glance but remembered the 2 styles of SS spoiler.

As far as the keys go, Idk if SS's had special keys, but I know any chevy dealer can cut you a old style GM key if you bring them proof of owning the vehicle.

If your talking about the Key Fobs, good luck and same for the dash plaque. SLP don't make them anymore, or anything else for the 96 cars. The 96 cars had everything labeled as Z28/SS (Floormats, Cover, Plaque, and Upper Air Box Lid) watch ebay sometimes you can come across original 96 stuff.

There should also be an SLP sticker on at least the drivers door.

Mats and the intake are disposable items. It was found out early the intake really wasn't anything special. Many along with myself opted for a fender mount CAI. I still have the original floor mats in my car. The pass. is in fair condition. Drivers is destroyed. Fortunately I bought an extra set just before SLP stopped selling things for the LT1 SS.

David Hamburger sells a lot of NOS SLP parts through his eBay marketing group. I'd send him a message via eBay and see if they have any more. I've noticed a lot of those 96 SS key fobs and dash plaques listed by him over the past few years. Usually they are blanks (where you could have your car # engraved) or have the number for a car that was never produced.

I believe they are trying to get away from that with the release of their VIN lookup website.
