CNC'd LT4 head flow numbers inside.

The heads were completed yesterday. I had them flowed at lunch today by a friend.

4.030 bore on a Superflow 1020 bench.

The heads have Manley 2.02 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves.
All cylinders we within 5-6 cfm of each other..

Intake Exhaust
.200 143 110
.300 207 147
.350 232 163
.400 253 178
.450 270 187
.500 282 194
.550 285 201
.600 286 206
.650 288 210

From what ive seen i have a monster set of heads. Which is why my car has alawys been so strong with a measly HOTCAM.

4.030 Bore
4.00 Stroke
408 cid

With the head flow numbers and my engine size anyone wanna recomend a Cam?

I would go with a custom solid roller.

If you are going to build a track motor, I'd go with somwthing like a 256/262 625/625 110lls. Something around there.

Street/Track and i want a n20 grind so the 110 LSA isnt gonna cut it.

Comp makes a beastly nitrous cam that'd be great for your setup

TS-239XR 239/248 duration, .577"/.600", 115lsa

Great store :)

HardenMotorsports is spec'ing out my cam. They build fast cars (130mph NA 355 LT1s, sb2.2 LT1, 410ci Proaction headed LT1, etc) - Give Darren a call.

That sounds like a kickass cam, but if you're going solid roller I'd start at .65 lift. I'd probably go bigger. For a hydrolic cam, I'd say .625 seems like you're approaching the limit . . .

That would be for a solid roller setup. I wouldn't go that big on duration for a hyd. The reason I said .625/.625 is, look at his flow numbers. He only gained 2 cfm from .600 to .650. Anything over .650 would be a waist. He could go with the .625 lift ans save himself some valve spring life. Granted he'll be getting Pacaloy springs, any life oyu can save on your valve springs is worth it in my opinion. :D

Ok just got my cam specs from cam motion

257/270 duration .609/.640 lift 112 LSA
108 centerline

Great on motor and a monster on n20...

My LT4 head flow numbers (for my 383 build-up) are very comparible to yours. We're looking at a hydraulic roller in the 242~246 intake range, 250~254 exhaust range, 0.59X" intake lift, 0.61X" exhaust lift on a 112 LSA. I plan on spraying my 383 ocassionally too. My car is primarily driven on the street and my goals are relatively conservative.
