Default SES light on. To care or not to care?

My car throws codes 26, 32, and 83. The weird thing is that it seems to do so at random times. For instance it might throw them a soon as i start the car or after it's been running for 30 minutes. I've read up on what the codes are via -

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...eshooting.html

I was wondering if old dirty connections in the harness could cause these to be intermittent. Also these codes don't effect the driveability that I've noticed. The car is a '94 Trans Am A4 with mac mids if that helps. Thanks in advance

Sure, if you never want your car to give you any diagnostics. If you want to maintain your car, I don't know why you would do that.

OP, while maybe those particular things don't cause you any driveability problems, if something else happens that would cause the light to come on, you'll never know (unless you plan to scan your car regularly). IMHO, better to fix the items or deal with them in tuning to keep the light off. The light is a diagnostic tool and is an integrated, helpful feature. Why handicap yourself in trying to maintain your car?

I just dealt with the code 26. I replaced the solenoid and its fixed. The codes are set when something is wrong....its a prertty smart system actually and is correct most of the time. The code 32 could be the solenoid for the EGR, or even the EGR itself...perhaps look at all the vacume hoses going to and from the solenoids also. The 83 code, not sure...
