Default clutch suddenly won't disengage

Hey everyone. I'm stumped. I have a 97 camaro m6 with a spec stage 2+. I was driving and lost my opti rotor and had to get it towed home. When I got home I was able to start it to pull it into the driveway. It was down for only 4 days and today I start it up and I can'tget Iit in gear. I shut the car off and put it in gear and try to start it and the whole car moves like Iit'sIin gear. Basically the clutch isn't disengaging. Any ideas why?

From personal experience, I would suggest you look at the throw out bearing - even though I had mine spot welded every 90 degrees, the rear face (i.e. - the portion that the clutch fork pulls against) of the throw out bearing sheared off cleanly one morning on the way to work. It felt the same, but it did not function.

^^^

Op, remove slave and its spacer. if there is "significant" slop in the fork especially if you can push it in the TO bearing lip may have sheared/bent as great421 notes

if so, you will have to pull tranny and clutch to replace

if this is not the problem inspect both slave & MC for leaks. since your pedal feels good....the TO bearing is more likely

For future reference. The clutch disc was lightly rusted to the pressure plate. It wouldn't break loose when cranking the car. We even tried cranking the car in 4th gear to put more of a load on it. We pulled the transmission and found that it was just the disc lightly rusted to the pressure plate. We use a thin putty knife to pop it loose.
