Default My '95 firebird wont start!

I'm seriously having a hard time with this car. When i bought it (not to long ago) the car would have a hard time starting. It would sometimes only make a clicking sound and then other times it would start up by cranking for awhile. Then the other day, the car just stopped starting. No matter how many times I try to start it. Also the service engine light and check gauges light stay on when i have the key to on. Those are both new.

I replaced the battery and the starter but to no avail. I really need help on getting her started again.

Search here on the term "VATS" (Vehicle Anti-Theft System); that will point you in the right direction.

But my security light is not on. Everything turns off except the engine light and check gauge light.

It's an Automatic with 61,000 miles. The only mod is the guy before me put a slap shifter in it.

Nobody did... So I have to mention to check for corroded battery terminals and through the wire. Also grounds. When trying to start the car (Constant clicks are usually connection issue) one click is usually the starter.
