Default Exhaust manifold mystery!!

So a few months ago I replaced the gaskets and just recently I developed a very bad leak at cylinder 1, 3 and 5 that I know of. The soft material has completely blown out and the metal mesh is still there. I touched some of the soft material and it broke apart like its old. It was a mr gasket also. Just wondering if my bbk headers have anything to do with it.

If the flanges on the header are warped that can cause it. I've had good luck with Remflex gaskets.

I've heard nothing but good things about fel-pro so I was going to try them.

Are you using stock exhaust manifolds? If so, why not use the stock steal gaskets? Usually when there is a blowout it means the flange is warped or the fasteners are not properly torqued down. What fasteners are you using?
