Default Looky what I just dragged out the field !!

I couldn't resist this I found passing by. The guy lost hope on it, and its been sitting since last Summer. Perfect for me. Car has a tick over 100k on it.6 speed, with the Z28 roof. I still have to go through her, no start.

Yeah, aka hardtop.

Car is a 1996 #71. The laundry list that they put on it :

new battery, alternator,and cables.
water pump radiator, hoses and thermostat.
MSD distributor. wires and plugs.
Clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, short throw shifter.
Aluminum driveshaft.
Poly. suspension bushings, tubular control arms, panhard bar, bilstein shocks, Hotchkis lowering coils.( more, I'm tired of typing)

Winter project cost me $2500.00

I don't have anymore pic's yet. I thought it might be the opti as well, they put a MSD distributor in it. New fuel pump as well.I'm in no hurry. Thanks for all of the views, its been awhile since the LT1 days.

Pull the opti off, inspect, loctite, reassemble checking all wire routes 4x, get the coil checked by autozone, ohm out the opti harness, change the fluids, see if she fires. Great score!

In my experience when a lot of people say they have an "MSD opti", most of the time they have an MSD cap and rotor on their factory opti. If it's red w/black MSD letters, that's usually the whole MSD opti. If it's black w/red letters then it's the cap and rotor kit from MSD and could be an internal problem with the opti (optical sensor is the first thing I'd check).
