We may not have to. That's just the amount that has been pledged for additional prep IF it's needed. Like Tony said, he had to pay a little more to get them to prep it for what the cars were capable of back then. I'd like to think there are more heavy hitters out there now than there was 5 years ago. We have guys like Kyle and Dave that want to see the event continue to grow and also want to see some records broken! You guys have the cars to do that, so we are saying we will put the glue on the track to make it happen! So please, don't let what has happened in the past keep you from coming this year.

I understand what you guys are doing. Its very generous of you all.

It was actually his son clay who passed away in 2014.

The current track manager is Clays nephew, Broc Porter.

I can assure you we will being doing everything in our power to make sure trac prep is not an issue. We are currently looking into the LC7 formula made by VP at the moment. Looks like good stuff from what I hear.....

Just wanted to update everyone on the status of a few things. I spent about an hour on the phone with the track manager regarding prior issues with track prep and I was assured that we would be taken care of. Broc told me about their additional charge for track prep and we have agreed on a price, and it will be for the ENTIRE TRACK, if needed. We will be taking input from the guys in the drivers seat for this call.
We do have a block of rooms reserved at a lower rate at the Holiday Inn as well. Registration is now open and from now until the end of the month, a registration into 2 classes gets you entered into a drawing for a free pair of drag radials or slicks of your choice (up to a $500 value). You can also enter to win by donating. Just $10 gets you a chance at a brand new set of stickies! For every $10 you donate, you're entered in one time. So $20 gets you 2 chances, $30 gets you 3, etc. At the end of the month a winner will be randomly generated by a 3rd party website with all entries showing in numerical order. As always, #1 wins!
All the information you need on class rules, who's registered, hotel and track information can be found at
www.ltxshootout.com
Also, come visit us on facebook at www.facebook.com/ltxshootout for up to minute updates on the event and news about some exciting new sponsors to come soon! Thanks guys!

Montana Grill burned down, or sustained serious damage, last summer. It should be back open in time for the event.

yeah I believe they just completed a seven million dollar renovation project at the Holiday Inn. I forget where I heard that from but I thought it was pretty decent to begin with, I can only imagine what an additional seven million would do for it

Seven million would fund a pretty decent open bar.

Lots of registrations rolling in, we also have a "entrants" link that can be found on this page...

As it stands now there are only 33 entries in the drawing for the tires. Very very good odds guys....

no problem. I would advise others to do the same. drag radials are drag radials. doesnt matter if you have an LTX or a SBF or a BBC a lot of guys would love to get in on that raffle. In the end their dollars will help with the event!
