2015 LTx Shootout is going back to Bowling Green, KY

We may not have to. That's just the amount that has been pledged for additional prep IF it's needed. Like Tony said, he had to pay a little more to get them to prep it for what the cars were capable of back then. I'd like to think there are more heavy hitters out there now than there was 5 years ago. We have guys like Kyle and Dave that want to see the event continue to grow and also want to see some records broken! You guys have the cars to do that, so we are saying we will put the glue on the track to make it happen! So please, don't let what has happened in the past keep you from coming this year.

Ya I know. But I'd hate to see track prep deter guys from coming, especially a car likes stefan's. That car has to be making north of 1400 at the tire on a 275 and tracks like Holly Springs have no problem hooking, bowling green shouldn't either. if extra money has to be thrown down for 1 day out of the year, then so be it.. safety is the most important thing at the end of the day.
You mean exactly that?

Well The same guy isnt over beech bend anymore. Dallas Jones(the owner) died last year so im sure there is someone else running the track. He was a ***** to work with, especially tring to rent the track for an event. We rented the track one year and he double booked it, Shity prep and on top of that had to pay upfront before he unlockled the gate. So things may be diffrent than they used to be

The current track manager is Clays nephew, Broc Porter.
I can assure you we will being doing everything in our power to make sure trac prep is not an issue. We are currently looking into the LC7 formula made by VP at the moment. Looks like good stuff from what I hear.....

Just wanted to update everyone on the status of a few things. I spent about an hour on the phone with the track manager regarding prior issues with track prep and I was assured that we would be taken care of. Broc told me about their additional charge for track prep and we have agreed on a price, and it will be for the ENTIRE TRACK, if needed. We will be taking input from the guys in the drivers seat for this call.

Montana Grill burned down, or sustained serious damage, last summer. It should be back open in time for the event.

yeah I believe they just completed a seven million dollar renovation project at the Holiday Inn. I forget where I heard that from but I thought it was pretty decent to begin with, I can only imagine what an additional seven million would do for it
