Default Assembled GTP ported LT4 heads and intake value - heads just refreshed (0 miles)

What are they worth?

Not much more else to report other than the title - I have the original receipt and all the specs on the heads. Had them refreshed so they have nothing on them. They are port matched, as well.

These were top of the line heads back in the day and the price paid would make you puke based on todays pricing, haha. I am the 2nd owner of the heads so no stories here; they were refreshed under my ownership by Jason Short's machine shop. So basically they are all documented above and beyond the pictures.

I'm seriously considering selling them which is the only reason I ask.

I don't see a single question in this thread to be answered?

I'm an idiot, thanks for pointing that out. Wanted to know what they are worth because I will likely be selling them, but if they don't fetch a good price I'll just hold them. I got a set of AFR's on the way but I know these are rare and performed well and since I have two LT1 cars I could always use them on the other one if I ever do anything with enough juice to run them.

I would probably compare them to LE2s, and since LE2s are $1300 assembled new, you might try starting at $1200 and see if you get bites.

The wonderful thing about the open market and patience is that sometimes you can get a stupid high price for them if you wait for the right idiot and can write a good ad. Pics and numbers help.

A couple of people I knew back then in the mid 90's got his heads for something like $800 assembled. It was silly. One of the cars was well into the 11's at over 120mph with the stock bottom end/306 cam and the other was stock everything except the 383 along with H rated tires/3.42 gears running 12.0's at 120mph and averaging 117 in the TX heat. Craig knows his ****.

You aren't an idiot. The above explains your intentions just fine.

Why replace them with something unlikely to be an upgrade?

The AFR's are coming off a procharged set up and have larger cc's, so I'm thinking they are a better head for where I am headed (pun intended). The GTP setup is better for a larger cube NA build.

Those heads are a nice set of heads. I had the same set on my 355 combo from years back (numbers in the sig). If you have another project car to use them in I would keep them. The LT1 market is a hard sell right now unless someone is specifically looking for those heads/intake.

I may list them to see what I can get. If they don't sell my feelings won't be hurt. I'll get up some details later on the work. Obviously I don't have the paperwork here while at work, lol.

These came off an NA 355 or 383 (can't recall) running 10.80's through an auto. So they definitely perform!

So looking at the PCM it was a stock 350 with the heads/intake/cam combo I mentioned. Running 10.80's, so they are a nice head. Will get the specs up over the weekend, most likely.
