Car dying
Hello all, i have a bit of an issuse and now with the weather getting better its time to fix it. I have a 94 z28 Camaro, within the last year have changed the opti and water pump, and a tune up. But now the car dies while driving, it will stumble and start to cough out then die, then wont start again until you let it sit. Car usually last maybe 30ish minuets before it happens. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks

Sounds more like a fuel pump issue. Could be that it is overheating. Has it ever been changed? If so, did you reuse the fuel pump bucket? Once the car acts up you can put a fuel gauge on it, try and start it and see what kind of pressure is being generated.

Fuel pressure check is in order, cheapest and easiest to troubleshoot.
The ICM spacer mod is where you put spacers between the head and the ICM mount. Helps to keep the ICM a bit cooler.

These symptoms remind me of when I had an issue with a LeBaron I had years ago. It would run fine for awhile and then quit and I'd have to sit for 20min before it would start again and it would act like nothing happened.
After dropping the tank I discovered two feild mice inside and their fur had been caught in the fuel pump screen. This would cause the fuel pump to overheat and shut down.
It could be your screen is clogged, hopefully not with any sort of rodent fur. It could also mean that if the pump was changed and the fuel pump bucket was not used that the pump is not getting sufficient cooling once the level of the gas tank has passed the pump, or it could be the fuel pump is simply going out.

kinda late but, i changed the pump. and the car stills acts up. Put i believe the fuel pump was bad though, the car starts with in like half a crank. Now im thinking it has to be the icm, also changed pump for free, so no money loss there.
