Default Loose spark plug - pic - thoughts?

Well, I've been counting the miles to when my new clutch is broken in and while I was doing some routine checks, I noticed one of the spark plugs was about a turn or so loose. When I pulled it out, it was clean on the end , but had some sticky black "goo" around the base. It looked like this:

I tightened it back up, but haven't had the chance to drive it yet because of the weather. So,

1. What is the "goo"?
2. What happens when a spark plug is loose?
3. Is there anything I need to do now? Is that "goo" gunked up other places?

Thanks, guys!

It's part of the combustion process that would normally burn off if it stayed in the combustion chamber or exhaust manifold but since it was forced past the threads of the plug it cools and turns to that goo.

Plug could of loosened up due to detonation/knock.
Or just a fluke.... How many were loose?

Could also be a little anti-seize in that goo too.

Only one was loose. Didn't really notice the car running poorly or anything prior.
