Default A little initial disappointment with moroso oil pan

Just got a lt1 pan in the mail and a couple initial thoughts and letdown....
First upon looking at it I found a small hole where the welds on a seam didn't cover so I'll have to put a small weld there to fill it

Second why in the bloody hell would they stick their damn stickers on the side of them ...I meen they weren't even on straight to make it even worse
I understand if it was for a Honda cause I'm sure those stickers gotta help oil flow some without even considering the extra power they add but it makes them look so damn cheap... Just my lil rant and 2 cents

As for the hole, that sucks....personally I'd send it back rather than bother fixing their shoddy welds.

As for the stickers; EVERY aftermarket oil pan I'm aware of has stickers (free advertising) on it....Canton, Moroso, JEGS, Milodon, how else is the jiffy lube dude gonna know he should be jealous of your sweet built LT1... Nobody has ever asked to oogle my 7qt Moroso sadly.

If the stickers bothers you, just remove them.

Get the oil nice and hot a few times, that sticker will be gone in no time.

Which pan did you get(part number)?

If it has defects, don't touch it. Send it back and get another one.

it was the lt1 specific pan....
as for returning it, if it was a really big hole i would of returned it but it litally just took a spot weld to fix it so it seemed like less of a pita to do that then to have to worry about returning and exchanging.
as for the stickers it was just a little old man bitch i had not a big deal i was just stating my opinion on it..
the pan is all fixed and stickers removed and painted...now i just have to remove the old pan when i have time to start working on the car again and see if i'll have to order a new pump as well since i'm not really sure whts in there now so not sure if the pickup i got will work

I would have sent it back. My Moroso worked without an issue and they even slapped that label on straight.
