Default LT1 Trans am - wont pass 3-4k rpm when warm

Hi guys im new here

i have a 94 trans am with an MSD ignition system
it shows trouble codes for evap system, egr (i have it deleted) and air pump (deleted) and thats it

my problem is as soon the car hit temperature it wont pass 3-4k rpm (like theres not enough fuel) but if i turn the key off and start the car again it runs good for about 2-3 minutes and then do the same 3-4 rpm thing

when the car is cold it runs excellent

i already changed fuel pump, o2 sensors, replaced all the grounds and a new maf with no luck

please help
opti maybe?

My MSD Opti was bad right out of the box and had high RPM stumble issues.

have you confirmed your fuel pressure is good while the RPM issue happens?

you would need a FP gauge with a hose long enough to tape the gauge to your windshield and watch it as you go WOT to see if the FP holds

I didn't know MSD made a ICM but most agree the OEM AC Delco Opti, coil and ICM are better

If your new MAF is not the stock one....put the stock one back on.

I wonder if the cat is going bad and plugging up the exhaust when hot.

I've run into this before(bad cat), but I don't remember it being temp dependent.

It could be other things......is it having trouble under load or just free revving it(or both)?

Yea I need to do that pressure test

with stock and new maf its exactly the same

i think i might have some torque converter issue, im hearing some noises and a weird sound and feel at high speeds

you really need to check your fuel pressure to rule that in/out. If that is good move on to Ignition

Maybe it is actually a Diesel engine, diesels don't like revving high, try towing a boat to find out.
