Motor build tips

Hey guys, for my 30th my wife bought me a full LT1 350 AND a shortblock (no heads/intake) but has pistons/crank/oil pan etc.

This will be the first time tearing down/cleaning/defining specs for the build and final assembly.

I was looking for some overall tips on the process (which may take months/all winter). Anything from organization tips, to documentation tips etc etc. Both motors will be sitting on engine stands in my garage and will be wheeled out when the time comes to tinker with them.

My overall plan will be a LE2 H/C/I built for autocross/road racing and around 380-400 rwhp.

I thought to buy a box of ziplock bags to label nuts/bolts and buy some rubber totes to store larger parts in.
