Which Rockers!!!!
Which one would be best for a daily driving type of environment with occasional weekend track days.
already have ARP studs and guideplates. I asked on a FB group but didn't get much insight on why the scorpion over the comp cams ultra gold. Besides price.

I have these:

Don't know much about the Comp golds, but ran the Cane gold racing rockers for years with a solid roller and they performed just fine.

In my experience, the Crane aluminum rockers are fine. They should last as long as any other quality rocker. I never had issues with them on the engine I had before this one seeing over 7000rpm.

1. I've actually seen broken and twisted aluminum rockers.
2. Rocker venders (Like Comp) will tell you that aluminum WILL begin fatigue and weaken from day one in a manner that steel rockers will not.
Do the research.....the info is out there. Or don't do the research; it's your engine.

You'd think making claims like you have the burdon of proof would be on you? What issues specifically have been documented with Crane Golds? I've always seen them being highly recommended. My last builder suggested them and the shop he's at is a well known Pro Mod builder on the eastern seaboard.

My 2 cents. GM put Crane Gold rockers on the LT4 engines from the factory and put a warranty on the engine. I'd have no problems running them on anything short of a full race car needing shaft rockers.
With that said, I will be using Comp Ultra Pro Magnums only because that's what Ai sold me with their 200cc head and cam package.
Don't spend too much time on this OP. There are a lot of people using Crane Gold/GMPP rockers or Comp Magnums with zero issues and many miles.

Agreed with above, i have the gmpp roller rockers on my cam swap, did some wot pulls yesterday. Pulls like a freight train, 100ft black marks through 2nd gear. They are relatively quite too, just a light sewing machine sound. And they fit under stock valve covers, crane makes them, one of the best companies out there!

BTW.....I had the Crane golds back in the day before my 1st stroker. When we went to swap the springs on the heads (LT4) from my 350ci we saw that several had twisted.....slightly, but they were definitely on their way out. We removed them all and ordered a set of Pro-magnums.
Now.....you can believe that or not. But like I said up top, I wouldn't trust aluminum rockers to get me around the corner.
