Default LT1 died randomly and won't start.

LT1 died randomly and won't start. It pulsates as if it's trying to turn over when it's cranking but won't start. I have a new opti, spark plug wires, and coil, as of January. Any suggestions?

Rent or buy yourself a fuel pressure gauge and see what fuel pressure you have.

it may sound stupid but check the ignition wire that comes from under the fuse box. it took me 5 months and a couple of dollars(several towing trucks) to figure this one out!

First thing you need to verify is if you have 3 things: spark, air, and fuel. Which ever one is missing will determine your next step.

Yesterday I drove the car to school, sat all day, started up great. After school, I drove it to town and parked at a store. Came out 20-30 mins later and it started right up. I drove for about 30 seconds and it just died. Started right back up. Then I drove again and it died. Finally drove it down the road some and then it died so I pulled into a park. It now won't start. Then I changed the icm and it still won't start. I checked fuel pressure and it is good.

What did you do when you checked the fuel pressure? Also, what year car is this? Did you replace the icm or the coil? Some people aren't aware there is even a difference. Any check engine light? If it only does this once it's warm, its heat related or closed loop related.

put gauge on shrader valve and turned key to run so the fuel pump would prime. Checked gauge. Tried to start it, and checked gauge while it was cranking. It is 1994 camaro. I replaced icm yesterday and replaced coil, msd opti, plug wires, and plugs in January. No check engine light but I think the bulb is burnt out because it never lights up. Sometimes it just doesn't start when it's cool or warm. Doesn't matter.

Here's what's weird. I try to start it today, no start. I hooked jumper cables to it and it started first try. Now when it started there was a loud ticking sound coming from the front driver side valve cover area. It gradually went away. Now when I disconnected the cables, it still ran the same. After 2 minutes it died. Started it back up first try. Then died a couple mins later.
