i have a 93 sonoma rearend i could put in it but is there anything else i can do to make my rear end stronger or can i build up the sonoma rear end and swat it in?

Not going to swap over. Start checking craigslist and junkyards for another diff. I wouldn't spend much on trying to strengthen the factory diff. All the money put into it can go towards something much stronger like a 12 bolt or 9inch.
