I ran an LS1 lid back in the day with the old LT1. I was also running a VFN wide Sunoco hood and was fabricated during the molding process to clear the lid set up.
It would also be best to run some kind of ram air with the lid such as the Chrss1313 ram air set up.GL.
How is your hood and lid functional together? The square opening on the hood dumps on the top of the lid and doesn't feed air to the front. Looks like it supplies air around the engine bay
I think you need to convert to a Firebird ram air setup with openings facing up:
