Probably not 100% correct, but I use my subframe connectors where they bolt into the subframe towards the front. I can lift the whole car that way, but usually I just take up the front and put a jack stand under the mount
I am curious as well. I have been placing them on the subframe but I can see over the years the previous owner has dented them slighly. And since my jack stands are the u shaped ones, only two of the corners make contact, so during my month of owner ship I have been using that spot and leaving the jack in place taking about half the weight.
I am curious where you guys place your stands with the u shaped cup where nothing will get bent.
I am considering these for the subframe locations I use, I think this would be perfect.
Front, either on the frame right before it bends upwards into the fender area or on the K member under the oil pan.
Rear, I always use the rear shock mounts/axle tube. Unless I need to work on axle to let it hang I use the frame. I always jack up the back using the pumpkin.
I usually place the jack stands where the k-member meets the lower control arms, as some others have said. When replacing the lower control arms last month, I placed them on that plastic jacking point behind the wheels.
Unless I'm replacing the lower control arms, I would continue to use that point rather than the body. There was noticeable flex in the body that i picked up on when I had to open or close a door. I have subframe connectors and it still flexed a noticeable amount.
With my 2x4 stands, I use the plastic pads as you would for a post lift. Pic below.
With jackstands, I use the flat part of the subframe just behind the plastic pads. You can just see that flat area in the below pic...circled in red. For the rear, I just put the stands under the axle or I'll use my bigger jackstands under the area close to the trailing arm mounts. You can see that in my last pic below. If I'm pulling the engine....then I set the rear tires in a couple of my old salad shooters.

LoL, of course not. Nails are my friend(not small diameter either). I use them for transmission and engine pulls. Below, the first 4 blocks are an adapter that I set on top of them for the engine pulls(also nailed together). I'll try to get a couple of pictures later. They are way more stable than trying to set the body on jackstands. I've only used jackstands twice to set the body on for engine pulls...and never again. Made me very nervous that they may fly out from under the car if it's moved too much.
