So i got an LT1 out of a 1995 trans am with the wiring harness and its pretty built other than the heads which im gonna get ported... but anyways im wanting to drop the motor into either a 3rd gen trans am or camaro but i need to know how much its gonna cost me and what im gonna need. ive found some forums on this but i want to see what everyone else has to say about this swap.. thanks

To get the drivetrain into the car is the simple part. If you decide to use the fbody acc and retain AC you will need to cut a notch on the passenger side for the AC compressor to fit. Next option is to find corvette acc which relocayes the AC comp. To the top at the drivers side.
The rest is a portiin of any build that no one van really place a cost to simply bevause of the different parts available.
Headers 300.00 up

PCM tune and delete VATS 165.00 up
NEW fuel pump 129.00 - 150.00
Possible fuel line modifacation 85.00+
Subframe connectors 160.00 i prefer the Jegsters
The cool part of this swap is it can be done in a weekend working normal hours.
I strongly suggest going to thirdgen. Org and searhing the lsx/lt1 swap forum
