seems like alot of people complaining about their tunes from "4less" I didn't have a good exp with Solomon. If I were you I would be reaching out to ed Wright or Moe Bailey moehorsepower

Where are you from OP?

fastlt1 11-19-2017 11:05 AM

Ed done mine back in the day and I was really pleased. Seamed right on while watching my wideband.

Shadyredeyes81 11-19-2017 11:30 AM

Ed tuned my 96 as well. Couldn't be any happier with it.

im from thibodaux. does he tune the 93-97 lt1 cars? i have heard of him. my friend got his tune from him on his 01 trans am. thought he did LS styles. i have a 95 which is obd 1.5. hard to find people who tune older cars. especially lt1 cars. they arent the same animal as other motors.

during my research, there were several people who were not pleased with his tune. i understand not everyone can be pleased, but there were more then just a few who were not pleased. im not completely against going with him. just seeing what other options there are.

Solomon is not a bad option he did my tune but I have a 93 car obd1 sd and I couldn't ever het the car right but I was having other issues he blamed for idle issues kr etc. I'm sure he could get it running but I would seek out ed or Moe

Well I personally hand delivered my PCM to him for a update and he did it without the car being there.. So in a sense I’m guessing he does..

do you know his price if i give him my pcm?

Just got my lt1 supra done by Solomon 2-3weeks ago. I have ported heads and a cc306. I still need do some data logging and take advantage of his free fine tuning after the power tune. But the car runs fantastic and seems pretty close to where it should be as far as the tune goes.

Had two people tune my car over the years. Had Trifecta do my original bolt on tune and that was great. They quit doing lt1 tunes right after I got my cam and would not retune my car. Sent mine to pcm for less and the tune was not very good. This was years ago. I got a lt4 hotcam tune. Then a cc503 tune. Both were very meh. Mainly super lean while crusing with it in the 15-17:1 range. Wide open was spot on at 12:3. I think when I rebuild my engine if that ever happens as my car is leaking water on the inside from the rust around the windsheild and smells very modly inside. But I think I will haul mine up to tick performance when I do mine.

He might charge about $200.. Just goggle Engine Power Systems and give him a call..

DirtyMike 11-21-2017 06:33 AM

I had laptop and borrowed a cable from a friend. IMO the $120 power tune I got was well worth the money.
