Default Best 4l60e convertor for 500 whp?

I am thinking about selling my PI vigilante 4k stall lock up converter and picking up something different. What the best lock up converter for a 4l60e, 80% strip/20% street driving. Looking for maximum 60' and e.t. potential. Car is approx. 3200 race weight and 500 - 550 whp on nitrous. Thinking maybe Pro Torque, Fti, Circle D. Thoughts?

I have no experience with the ones you've mentioned, so can't comment on which particular model/version of each would work best. But I can recommend one with confidence that I do have experience with: Yank 3400 PAS. PAS stands for Power Adder Series". It's their SS3600 converter with a modified stator that inhibits "blowing through the converter" under high torque loading. It would be ideal for your rwhp range. It'll still flash over 4000 under the nitrous hit.
If your suspension is sorted out, nothing fancy just the basics, you will easily be in the low 1.3X 60's at your vehicle weight. With careful tuning, 1.2X's will be do-able.
And that Yank will drive WAY better than that loosey goosey PI 4k !

Also, PTC in Muscle Shoals, AL has a very good track record for power adder applications. I've not used them personally, but have some friends who've gotten outstanding results with them.

I like my fti converter, if you call them up they will spec one for your setup.

Anything 'nitrous' related with these engines, I'd trust Pat above anyone else.

Jus' sayin'.

. No. Way too loose for the nitrous.
