Default Anyone still make 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped headers?

Does anyone still make stepped headers for the LT1 93-97 anymore besides Kooks?

Im not trying to have you shy away from doing this, but had a customer that went from straight headers to stepped ones and gained nothing, but there may be others that did gain something and they might chime in.

Well I need new headers anyway, and with how well the exhaust flows on the AFR 210’s I figured the stepped headers might help?

I 'think' these are the same ones LPP used to sell, I have them and like the fit. Had to notch my k-member but it was 5 minutes with a grinding wheel.

What kind of mods? Just wondering if the car had enough output where the pre-Kooks headers complemented the setup enough.

The xs power and LPP headers are one in the same I too had to grind my k-member slightly but the quality and fit is great.

I’m already running solid engine mounts and have a small notch in the k-member for the Hooker headers I have now, so I should be good to go. I don’t mind a little grinding if needed.

Usual, cam, exhaust ect, Put out like 360 rwhp, we added the stepped headers at the shop and back on the dyno, made like 361, but again like you said, maybe higher HP cars make a difference and just because it didnt do anything on this car doesnt mean another might pick up a few, we had 2 cars from 2 brothers, identical mods, and almost the same mileage, one car made 20 more HP than the other, go figure. clearances on the motor from the factory? pcm?

I just ordered these headers http://xs-power.com/chevrolet-headers-11.htm so I'm hoping they fit well and don't leak, anyone have any other reviews on these headers?

UPDATE: headers and y pipe arrived today and I am very pleased with the fit and finish but I'm going to coat them inside and out with high temp ceramic paint to keep under hood temps down. For the record these are a clone of the Kook's, I'm looking at the pipe layout of the XS Power and they're exactly like the Kook's, this is great.
Anyone know if there's room between the collector and floorpan to install v-band clamps?
